Interested in enrolling in the exercise fundamentals Level 4?

Before enrolling, you'll need to attend an information and induction session. This session gives you and your workplace a clear understanding of what's involved in the programme and what you'll need to succeed.

During the session, you'll learn about:

  • What the 16-week programme involves
  • The practical and theory assessments you'll complete
  • The skills and knowledge you'll develop
  • The support available from Te Mahi Ako
  • How your workplace can support your learning and assessment activities.

This programme is best suited to ākonga who are confident participating in exercise and have a basic understanding of exercise principles.

Workplace support is an important part of success. Employers should be able to provide opportunities for ākonga to practice skills, complete assessment activities, access relevant facilities and equipment, and receive ongoing encouragement and feedback throughout the programme.

Attendance at an information and induction session is required before you can be accepted into the programme.

We look forward to supporting ākonga and workplaces to develop the next generation of exercise professionals.
