Your learning journey
The micro-credential currently includes two modules:
Module 1 – Exercise fundamentals
Build your understanding of the fundamental principles that underpin safe and effective exercise.
Module 2 – Applying exercise fundamentals
Develop your ability to put your knowledge into practice and work confidently in an exercise environment.
The wider Exercise Fundamentals qualification pathway will eventually include additional modules, allowing you to continue building your skills and knowledge as you progress.
Learn while you work
This is practical, workplace-connected learning.
You’ll complete an assessment workbook and apply your learning in a real exercise environment. This means you’re not simply learning about exercise — you’re developing skills that you can use with real people in your workplace.
Your learning is supported through Te Whare Tapa Whā, recognising that successful learning and development involves more than technical skills. It supports you as a whole person throughout your learning journey.
